CNC Routing / Machining

RS Sets offers subcontract CNC cutting and routing services for MDF, MFC, plywood, chipboard, solid wood, ‘Diabond’, ‘Reynobond’, Foamex, laminates, Perspex, acrylics and plastics. CNC routing is the cutting, shaping, drilling, milling, and surfacing of materials using a computer-controlled router or milling machine.

With significant CNC routing experience, RS Sets has recently invested heavily in new CNC technology. We now have a new Bulleri FPM 3216 machine capable of cutting sheet materials of over 3050mm (10 ft) x 1525mm (5 ft) without the need to move the board, on a machine that has an idle moving speed of 1.5 metres per second. This means that we can now offer a full CNC routing service for precision cutting at high speed saving us time and you money.

The machine can cut straight lines, curves, arcs, block patterns or shapes up to a thickness of 60mm, and can replicate these perfectly time and time again. These programs can be stored on hard drive, so if a customer requires repeats of the said parts at a later stage, these can be called up in a moment's notice, and reproduced for whatever the requirement.

We prefer to receive drawings as CAD files but we also have a full drawing service available if required, and can convert virtually any drawing program that you may have.
